Ingredients
  

  • For the Crust:
  • - 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • - ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cut into small pieces
  • For the Filling:
  • - 1 cup light corn syrup
  • - 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • - ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • - 4 large eggs
  • - 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press the crust mixture evenly into the baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans.
  • Pour filling over the pre-baked crust and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until the filling is set. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

- Toast pecans for extra flavor.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
