Ingredients
For the Crust:
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter
cold and cut into small pieces
For the Filling:
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter
melted
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the crust mixture evenly into the baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
Whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans.
Pour filling over the pre-baked crust and spread evenly.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until the filling is set. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Toast pecans for extra flavor.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
