French Onion Butter Rice

A buttery, rich, and flavorful baked rice dish made with French onion soup and beef consommé. The perfect easy side dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 10.5 oz can French onion soup
  • 1 10.5 oz can beef consommé
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small baking dish.
  • In the dish, combine uncooked rice, French onion soup, and beef consommé. Stir gently.
  • Pour melted butter over the mixture. Cover with foil.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until the rice is tender.
  • Remove from oven, fluff with a fork, and garnish with parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add crispy fried onions on top.
  • Stir in shredded cheese for a cheesy twist.
  • Swap beef consommé for chicken broth if needed.
