Easy Peach Dumplings

Flaky crescent dough wrapped around tender peaches, baked in a cinnamon-sugar glaze with a bubbly soda-infused sauce. A quick and irresistible dessert!

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 medium peaches or canned, drained
  • - 8 oz Pillsbury crescent roll dough
  • - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • - 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • - 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • - 1 tsp cinnamon
  • - 3/4 cup Fresca citrus soda
  • Optional Garnish:
  • - Vanilla ice cream
  • - Powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  • Wrap each peach slice in crescent dough and arrange in the dish.
  • Melt butter and mix with granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over dumplings.
  • Pour soda around (not over) the dumplings.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes, then serve with vanilla ice cream or powdered sugar.

Notes

- Experiment with different sodas like Sprite or Mountain Dew for unique flavors.
- Add chopped pecans for extra crunch.
