Ingredients

  • For the Fudge:
  • - ½ cup unsalted butter
  • - 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • - 5 oz half & half
  • - 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  • Mix Base Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and half & half. Stir and bring to a boil. Let it boil for exactly 1 minute and 45 seconds without stirring.
  • Add Peanut Butter: Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Combine with Powdered Sugar: Pour the hot mixture into a bowl of powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Set the Fudge: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm.
  • Slice and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into 16 squares and enjoy!

Notes

- Use creamy peanut butter for the best texture; avoid natural peanut butter to prevent separation.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
- For variations, try adding chocolate drizzle, crushed nuts, or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
