Ingredients
- 1 baguette
sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
for brushing
- 2 large ripe tomatoes
diced (or 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved)
- 1-2 burrata balls
about 8 oz total
- 1-2 tbsp fresh basil
chopped
- 1 garlic clove
peeled and halved
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
for drizzling
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
optional, for drizzling
- Salt and black pepper
to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
In a bowl, toss diced tomatoes with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, black pepper, and basil.
Rub the warm bread slices with the cut side of the garlic clove. Top with tomato mixture and torn pieces of burrata.
Drizzle with olive oil and optional balsamic glaze. Garnish with more basil, salt, and pepper.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicy kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top.
- Use a serrated knife to slice the baguette cleanly without crushing it.
