ripe avocado
ripe banana
cup unsweetened almond milk (or any preferred milk)
tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
teaspoon vanilla extract
tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added fiber and Omega-3s)
A pinch of salt
Ice cubes (optional, for a chillier smoothie)
Blend: Add the banana, almond milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, chia seeds (if using), and a pinch of salt to the blender.
Blend Until Smooth: Start blending on low speed, then gradually increase to high speed, blending until you reach a velvety texture. If you like your smoothie chilled, add a few ice cubes and blend again until smooth.
Taste and Adjust: Give your smoothie a taste. If it needs more sweetness, feel free to add an extra drizzle of honey or maple syrup and blend briefly to mix.
Serve: Pour the smoothie into chilled glasses and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture. Enjoy!
Notes:
Substitutions: If you don’t have almond milk, any dairy or non-dairy milk will work. You can also use coconut water for a tropical twist!
Add-ins: For a nutrient boost, consider adding a handful of spinach, kale, or even a scoop of protein powder.
Storage: Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh; however, you can store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
