Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep & Season the Beef

1️⃣ Pat the beef chunks dry and season with salt and black pepper.
2️⃣ Toss the flour over the beef and coat evenly on all sides.

Step 2: Brown the Beef

3️⃣ Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
4️⃣ Sear the beef in batches, browning each side for about 3-4 minutes.
5️⃣ Remove the beef and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Vegetables

6️⃣ In the same pot, sauté onions, garlic, and carrots for 2-3 minutes.
7️⃣ Add the potatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, bay leaf, and Worcestershire sauce.
8️⃣ Stir and scrape the browned bits from the bottom of the pot.

Step 4: Simmer & Slow Cook

9️⃣ Bring the stew to a simmer, then add the beef back to the pot.
