Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Make the Biscuit Dough

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and work it into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your hands until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and buttermilk.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. (Avoid overmixing to keep the biscuits tender!)
  6. Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to crush them.

2. Shape the Biscuits

  1. Lightly flour a surface and turn out the dough.
  2. Pat the dough down to about ½ inch thickness.
  3. Use a biscuit cutter (or a round glass) to cut out biscuits and place them close together on the baking sheet.

3. Bake to Perfection

  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
  2. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before adding the glaze.

4. Make the Glaze

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over warm biscuits for the perfect finishing touch.
